Job Description

Our Business Strategy team sits at the center of Lazard Asset Management and partners with investments, sales, finance, operations, and technology teams to set priorities, drive firmwide initiatives, and translate strategy into execution. The team supports business planning, competitor and market analysis, operating model and efficiency projects, and the analysis used by senior management to make decisions. We are looking for an intern to join us in Summer 2027!

Our hands on, 10-week internship is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career in within asset management. You will work directly with the Strategic Initiatives Project Manager and help support various business-critical projects. Depending on business need, projects may include industry and competitor research, analysis of business and product trends, supporting business planning and resource allocation exercises, documenting operating processes to identify efficiencies, and preparing presentation materials for senior management and governance forums. In addition to role-specific training, interns also receive mentorship, engage in networking and volunteer opportunities, and benefit from employee resource groups such as LEAD, focused on the development of future leaders through training, internal mobility, and philanthropy.

Eligibility Criteria

* This program is open to rising undergraduate seniors only. You must be graduating in 2028!
* Ability to start an internship June 7, 2027 and end August 13, 2027
* Ability to be in NYC for the duration of the internship
* Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

In addition to above, we will also need to see

* Consistent academic achievement working towards a quantitative, analytical major.
* Internship and part time work experience
* Leadership experience and excellent judgement
* Demonstrated fluency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to synthesize meaning behind data
* Critical judgment around AI outputs - willingness to verify, fact-check, and not blindly trust AI-generated content, which is increasingly relevant in research and client-facing contexts.
* Familiarity or experience with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude or similar)
* Adaptability/willingness to learn internal AI tools
* Exceptional organization and communication skills (written and oral) and strong attention to detail
* Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn
* Demonstrated interest in the asset management industry
* Sound judgement, maturity, and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

The base salary for this Summer Internship will be $85,000 USD.
