Repsol has an opening for a Geologist/GeoModeler Intern located in The Woodlands, Texas.

Internship Details:
* Position will be based out of our office in The Woodlands, TX. Interns are expected onsite Monday-Friday, with the exception of 9/80's. The 9/80 schedule is optional per the manager's discretion, based on intern project scope and timeline.
* Non-local candidates may be considered but must arrange their own travel and temporary accommodations. A summer stipend will be provided to help offset out of pocket expenses.
* Students must be available for the full duration of the internship from May 18 - Aug 7. Any personal time off must be approved by the supervisor as unpaid leave and should be noted with the recruiter as early as possible.
* Interns will receive an hourly wage but are not eligible for benefits or paid time off. Interns will be compensated for observed company holidays.

Responsibilities
* Support geologists and geo-modelers with day-to-day project activities
* Assist with data gathering, organization, and quality control of geological and subsurface datasets
* Help prepare maps, cross-sections, models, figures, and supporting technical documentation
* Participate in subsurface interpretation, modeling, and review discussions as appropriate
* Contribute to presentations and reports used for internal project updates
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as geophysics, engineering, and reservoir disciplines
* Follow established safety standards, procedures, and company policies
* Complete an assigned internship project and present findings at the conclusion of the program

Qualifications
* Fully authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Additionally, we are not authorized for employment under OPT/CPT/F1 visa programs.
* Successful completion of 2 years towards a Bachelor's (or higher) in Geology or a related geoscience field (Earth Science, Environmental Science, Geophysics)
* Detail-oriented, a strong analytical background
* Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of Products
* Demonstrate an understanding and enthusiasm for the oil and gas industry
* Strong written and oral communication skills with a variety of technical and non-technical staff
* Able to work independently and within a team
* Professional conduct is fundamental to success in this position
* Proven organizational and time management skills
