What does Master Internship@IBM CIC offer you?

Within the scope of the 2-3 year Master Internship@IBM CIC program, we offer valuable professional experience in Consulting, which you will gain in parallel to your studies. You can complete the master study course at a university (or university of applied sciences) of your choice. The duration of studies depends on the respective university and is between two and three years. The volume of work allows you to focus sufficiently on your master's degree. Nevertheless, you can expect challenging assignments in a team-oriented and dynamic environment as well as many opportunities for active co-determination. You will also write your master's thesis in collaboration with your department.

What can you expect from this position?

Account And Project Support Activities

* Assisting the Public Sector Consulting Team in Switzerland
* Collating and updating IBM offerings around AI adoption and aligning them to client needs
* Creating presentations to position IBM in client meetings
* Planning and preparation of client meetings, events and workshops
* Support in business development activities and internal reporting on opportunities

Business Development Activities

* Development of response material for proposals
* Support in team coordination & internal processes on sales bids
* Support in material creation for orals presentation sessions
* Support in producing reports for sales and delivery cadence calls

This job is only for candidates who will have finished their Bachelor studies by September 2026 (or earlier) and plan to start with a Master's Degree in autumn or in winter 2026 (Swiss university/university of applied sciences, study course of your choice).

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

* Currently pursuing a quantitative degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
* Strong interpersonal skills that foster effective collaboration and relationship building, particularly within diverse stakeholder environments, including public institutions
* Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, demonstrating active listening skills and the flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities while taking ownership of tasks and challenges
* High level of initiative and curiosity, with a growth mindset and interest in public sector topics, governance, and societal impact
* Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to structure information and support decision-making processes
* Fluent in German and English - at least C1 level (written and spoken)
* Swiss / EU nationality or a valid Swiss work permit

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

* Knowledge or interested in database development, as well as a curiosity in a wide range of cloud platforms, web markup languages, deploying applications with container technology, and generative AI.
* Exposure to web services, API, and multiple Java application frameworks.
* Can understand clients' needs and challenges, applying a creative and logical approach to identify solutions.
* Demonstrate foundational quantitative analysis skills and ability to develop data driven recommendations
