communication with teachers and other exchange students is really great. Local students are rather shy. So just don't give up because they're really great when you crack their shell.

Final comments
Before you go to HK make sure you have sufficient funds. Live outside campus is pretty expensive. Take care that you have at least monday or friday off so that you have time to travel. HK makes a great hub to explore Asia. I've been travelling so much. If you're not interessted in it let another person take advantage of the location and prices. I can strongly recommend HKUST. You'll have the time of your life there.

I'd recommend to go to Club ING on Thursday and Pink Mao Mao on Wednesday. Lan Quai Fong and Wan Chai are always a good choice to go to.

I think it's not worth paying for the very expensive apartments. I also advise against living in a bunk bed room as I did as the space is really small. A double room is pretty ok.
