We are looking to appoint an Onboarding Coordinator to join our Defence team in Preston, supporting the delivery of a high profile and highly regulated Defence programme of national importance. This role requires highly trusted professionals who can operate with discretion, integrity and accountability within a secure environment. Due to commence in late autumn to early winter, the position sits within an Integrated Client Team and offers responsibility for the safe and controlled delivery of complex construction and infrastructure projects within a long-term Defence programme.
This candidate should have eligibility to obtain and maintain UK security clearance (SC).
You'll be responsible for:
* Coordinating the onboarding process for personnel joining the programme, ensuring all pre-start activities are completed on time.
* Managing onboarding schedules and working closely with project teams, functional teams and external stakeholders to support mobilisation requirements.
* Monitoring and tracking onboarding progress, highlighting risks, delays and issues that may impact start dates
* Coordinating security clearance, compliance and other pre-employment requirements with relevant teams.
* Ensuring all onboarding documentation is completed, validated and recorded in accordance with programme requirements.
* Acting as a key point of contact for new joiners throughout the onboarding process, providing guidance and support.
* Maintaining accurate onboarding records, trackers and reports.
* Coordinating induction activities and ensuring personnel have the appropriate access, equipment and information required to commence work.
* Supporting programme mobilisation activities and workforce planning requirements.
* Identifying opportunities to improve onboarding processes and the overall onboarding experience.
You'll need to have:
* Previous experience in onboarding, mobilisation, workforce coordination, project support or programme administration.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously.
* Experience maintaining accurate records and working within compliance-driven environments.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
* Eligibility to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance (SC).
