The Role: Broker Assistant (Client Manager)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Broker Assistant/Account Handler (what we within Marsh call a Client Manager) to join a successful team focused within the Marine & Cargo market based in our Birmingham offices.

This role could suit someone with previous financial services or insurance experience, whether that be within an administrative, account handling or back-office function looking for a new opportunity within a niche market.

The role will offer a Hybrid working opportunity after initial training with an expectation to only be in the office 3 days a week however there is also an expectation to go and meet the London team twice a month as well.

We will rely on you to:
* Arrange for new clients to be set up on our systems, monitor progress of on-boarding/due diligence of clients, intermediaries, and markets.
* Assist CEs and brokers to set-up and manage the placement in broking system.
* File appropriate documentation (covering BOR, ToE etc.) in the broking system.
* Prepare Quotes, Market Reform Contracts and Endorsements (MRCs and MRCEs) and BID's. EOI's and LOU's (where requested) using our document templates and adapt these based on information received from our clients and input from the CE/ Broking teams.
* Review the renewal reports prepared by the Renewal Team and identify any risks that are not required, 90 days ahead of the renewal date. Working with the CE to ensure that all documents are accurate and ready to proceed with the renewal (i.e. endorsements are included in the renewal MRC, where applicable and finer details).
* Prepare documentation to support the placing of insurance contracts using the appropriate systems/processes - e.g. preparation of renewal reports and programme documentation, as well as quote and placement slips.
* Support placement of insurance contract through PPL or appropriate Digital Trading Platform.
* Ensure appropriate records of negotiations/communications with client and insurers are maintained within the broking system.
* Review and check all documentation for quality and technical accuracy in accordance with:
* Provide clear direction to Policy Servicing Teams through the Work Request Form (WRF).
* Review and respond to queries emanating from Marsh Operations and manage these to close in a timely manner.
* Ensure timely authorisation of documentation, and distribution to markets/client - debit notes, invoices and evidence of cover.

What you need to have:
* Previous experience within a corporate environment
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
* Business Acumen and commercial awareness.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Experience within the London Market is an advantage
