Electronics Repair Technician

Job Purpose
As a Repair Technician at TD SYNNEX, you will be responsible for the precise rework, repair, and modification of printed circuit boards (PCBs), including both surface mount and through-hole components. You will work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure that all electronic assemblies meet the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform rework and repairs on PCBs in accordance with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-7711/7721)
* Replace and reflow surface mount and through-hole components using advanced soldering and desoldering techniques
* Inspect and diagnose defects or damage in PCBs and electronic assemblies
* Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
* Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all rework and repair activities
* Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve technical issues
* Ensure compliance with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols and workplace safety standards
* Operate specialized tools such as hot air rework stations, soldering irons, microscopes, and inspection equipment
* Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies or recurring defects

Requirements
* Proven experience in PCB repair, rework, or assembly within an electronics manufacturing environment
* Certification in IPC-7711/7721 (Rework, Modification, and Repair of Electronic Assemblies) is preferred
* Excellent manual dexterity and strong attention to detail
* Comfortable working with small components under a microscope
* Solid understanding of soldering techniques and ESD precautions
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with lead-free (RoHS-compliant) soldering techniques
* Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001
* Experience in a high-mix, low-volume production environment
