Chassis Technician

Job Summary:
Completes troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance on chassis products in a service workshop independently while coaching and developing less experienced technicians

We are looking for a talented Chassis Technician to join our Distribution business in (Coburg, OR).

Will make an impact in the following ways:
* Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and complex repairs on chassis and related vehicle systems.
* Complete preventative maintenance and inspections on chassis components to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
* Utilize electronic diagnostic tools, service manuals, and other technical resources to accurately identify and resolve issues.
* Complete service documentation, work orders, warranty claims, and repair records accurately and timely.
* Coach and support junior technicians and apprentices by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, tools, and equipment.
* Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures while promoting a strong safety culture.
* Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain and expand technical skills.

Work well in a team environment,
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Technician (Preferred).
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
Locally valid driving permit

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:
Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with chassis products
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)

Ihr Profil:

In order to be succesful in this role you will need the following:
* Advanced knowledge and experience with chassis systems, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
* Ability to perform complex troubleshooting and repairs using electronic service tools and diagnostic software.
* Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, fuel, cooling, exhaust, aftertreatment, driveline, and control systems.
* Experience documenting repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance activities in service management systems.
* Ability to provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to less experienced technicians.
* Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
* Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
* Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution preferred.
* Valid driver's license required.
* CDL may be required upon hire. Federal law requires CDL holders to be at least 21 years of age.
* Apprentice Trained Technician certification preferred
