Huawei Munich Research Center (MRC) is looking for an intern in the topic of AI Algorithms for Modem Signal Processing. Artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven methods are the strong candidates to be integrated as the native components for beyond 5G cellular communication systems. Yet, it is still challenging to make them practical in the domain of physical layer signal processing, especially for the cellular modems at the terminal device side. As an internship student at MRC, you will explore the latest AI paradigms and develop practical data-driven signal processing algorithms for the cellular modems at the terminal device side.
Your Responsibilities
* Develop novel concepts for data-driven parameter estimation algorithms in a wireless receiver.
* Explore latest generative AI methods to solve parameter estimation problems in a wireless receiver.
* Conduct algorithm-architecture co-design to optimize the trade-off between the estimation accuracy and the neural network complexity.
Your Areas of Expertise
* University student pursuing a Master degree or a Diploma degree, in the subject of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Control Engineering or Mathematics.
* Fluent with reading academic papers and translating algorithmic concepts into proof-of-concept codes.
* Familiar with popular AI frameworks such as PyTorch. Capable of independently conducting model development, training, optimization, and deployment.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
* Good academic transcripts from the study.
* Experiences of using generative AI methods to solve signal processing problems is a strong plus.
* Familiarity with Bayesian estimation techniques is a strong plus.
