Position Overview
In our QA (Quality Assurance) team we are looking for a software test engineer intern to support our Simcenter 3D product in quality assurance. Simcenter 3D is a comprehensive, fully integrated CAE solution for complex, multidisciplinary product performance engineering. The software delivers revolutionary improvements in simulation efficiency. With sophisticated 3D modeling capabilities and simulation solvers that cover a comprehensive range of physics, Simcenter 3D helps our customers to gain better insight into their product's overall performance.

What you will be doing
You will start as an intern and after completing the general trainings, you will be a member of an AGILE team, you work in very close collaboration with the other team members.

You will participate in all team meetings and actively engage in the planning process and contribute to the team's goals of each sprint. It is encouraged that each team member readily supports on another to reach that goal. Good communication skills are vital in this position.

Your main responsibility will be ensuring the quality of the deliveries of your team by following test plans for both automation and manual testing.

* Manual testing of new functionality
* Test the products, document and communicate the results of that testing
* Manual regression testing: scripted and unscripted
* Installation testing on Windows and Linux
* Complete user workflow tests
* License testing
* Report bugs and usability concerns.
* Build bug reports with clear instructions and all the needed input data for the developer to investigate the issue. Follow-up closely, to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
* Follow up on resolved bugs, ensure that the fixes are implemented accurately
* Create automated regression testing.
* Use python scripting language to generate automatic regression tests
* After initial training: review current manual testing procedures and extend the automation
* Effectively work with a globally dispersed team
* Participate effectively in cross-functional teams

Qualifications

* Educational Level: In Progress, Bachelor or Master Engineering Degree or equivalent experience (mechanical, aerospace, electrical, computer).
* To start as software test engineer intern for Simcenter 3D you should have some user knowledge in CAE software tools (Solid Edge, Solidworks, Inventor, ProEngineer, Star-CCM etc) and programming language (Python, C++)
* A big part of the job is to automate manual testing as much as possible. Those test scripts are created in Python. SIEMENS provides on the job training; it would be beneficial if you already knew one object-oriented programming language.

Compensation & Benefits
The annual gross salary for this part-time position (20 hours per week, 12-month internship) ranges from 57,000 to 70,000 RON. This is a pro-rated amount based on a full-time equivalent of 115,000 to 140,000 RON. Siemens offers a comprehensive range of health and wellness benefits to employees.
