The Google Project Management Apprenticeship is a 24-month learning and development program. The program follows a 100% in-person model, with apprentices spending 3 days per week at their assigned office and 2 days at a partner educational institution, dedicating a total of 34 hours per week between learning and work. Apprentices will receive training with a Google team, combined with external training focused on technical applications, in order to develop the skills necessary to pursue an entry-level career in project management.
Apprentices do not apply for a specific department. Instead, apprentices are centrally allocated by our recruiting and apprenticeship teams to various departments.. This means your team placement might be in a field unrelated to your academic background-such as Human Resources, Communications, Product Partnerships, or YouTube-offering you a unique opportunity to build a versatile skill set.
The selected candidates will be working in different teams across the São Paulo offices.
Responsibilities
* Be responsible for working with a project team, focusing on assigned tasks, workstreams, delegation, and overall project health to meet deadline milestones.
* Execute established processes and projects with defined scope and complexity, and when necessary, complete tasks outside of established processes.
* Learn to demonstrate basic project management skills, such as project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, process documentation, organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
* Identify and suggest improvements to workflows or processes and share updates and roadblocks to project leaders in a timely manner
