Your mission:

An apprenticeship opportunity titled : Apprentice - Structures Design has just opened at Airbus India located in Bangalore. You will join the Structures department in charge of Design Tolerancing.

Ideally, this is a 12-month program and it should start in July 2026 (date subject to flexibility).

Your main missions will consist of:

* Mechanical Design: 1D, 2D or 3D tolerance studies, formalization of tolerance report & drawing sets. Understand & execute tolerance calculations using different statistical approaches.
* Achieving tolerances cascade in the drawing set by use of geometrical annotation respecting ISO 1101 or ASME Y14.5 standards.
* Define and implement contractual interchangeability requirements in the drawing set.
* Guarantee compliance with the Tolerancing/DVA rules in the whole aircraft development process.
* Understanding Design principles from the perspective of "Assembly & Manufacturing" (Interfaces & Capability)
* To be able to recommend design changes and/or optimize manufacturing processes in order to mitigate the accumulation of elementary part tolerances.

Your tutor will support you to identify your professional objectives and develop your skills.

This apprenticeship will allow you to develop the following skills:
* Aircraft components design and GD&T
* Manufacturing process knowledge
* Aircraft Function, Operation & Processes
* Hands on experience on mechanical modelling tools, like CATIA.

Eligibility Criteria:
* You are a Fresh Graduate (Technical Under Graduate or Post Graduate) in Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering.
* Zero Work Experience: This program is exclusively for candidates with no prior full-time professional work experience. (Internships and academic projects are excluded from this and are welcome).
* Commitment: Ability to commit to the full 12-month duration of the apprenticeship.
You possess the following competences:

- Technical skills:
* Mechanical design skills including GD&T knowledge.
* Design Tools: Knowledge of CATIA is preferred.

- Soft Skills:
* Ability to work independently & in a team, in a transnational environment
* Ability to communicate effectively (oral, written & presentation)
* Flexibility & adaptability to changing project scenarios and requirements
* Interest and capability in using code to automate repetitive tasks, analyze engineering data, or run basic simulations.

- Language skills :
* English: Fluent
