Apprentice

Job Description:

The Finance trainee apprentice will be responsible for supporting key accounting and external reporting processes within the organization, with focus on process automation and transformation. The role will involve structured training, collaboration and opportunity to experience the dynamic world of Amex Finance every day

Candidate Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent, with(out) maximum of 11 months of experience
* Hands-on experience on SQL/Python/other programming languages. Exhibits ability to query 'Big data' and retrieve desired information
* Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), version control and code collaboration tools (Git/GitHub), automation tools/techniques (RPA, ETL tools, Machine Learning etc.), Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI), and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau etc.)
* Awareness of GenAI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, custom GPTs, LLM-based assistants) and their application to finance process automation and productivity
* Basic understanding of Finance concepts and, appreciation of role and criticality of Finance in a multinational company
* Foundational awareness of accounting principles and regulatory/external reporting concepts
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Exhibits positive attitude, agility and willingness to learn and develop
