Purpose of the position: As Technical Safety Engineer (TSE Engineer) you will be part of the Energy Carries Business line] within Loss Prevention & Environment Department. At the beginning You will support senior TSE Lead in the execution of TSE activities for executive or bidding projects.
In particular the mission of the Loss Prevention Engineer position is to develop safety system engineering and to ensure, through specialist studies, that the engineering of the specific project is carried out in accordance with the applicable technical requirements for process safety, plant reliability and environmental compatibility.
Activities include:
* Identification, evaluation and management of technical/process risks;
* Design of fire protection systems (both passive and active);
* Design of gas/fire detection systems;
* Classification of areas with risk of explosion (HAC);
* Quantitative Risk Assessment;
* Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment;
* Building Risk Assessment;
* Preparation of documentation for authorities (e.g. Fire Brigade, CTR)
* Consequences Assessment
* Reliability, Availability studies
* HAZOP/HAZID/SIL LOPA participation or execution

What are we looking for?
Education: Master's Degree in: Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering
Background: 2 years as Technical Safety engineer or Recent Graduate with curricular Internship in Technical Safety Loss Prevention discipline finalized to the Master Degree thesis preparation
Languages: Italia, English
Technical Knowledge: Familiar with consequence analysis calculation codes (e.g., Effects TNO, Phast DNV); computer codes for risk analysis (e.g., Aripar, Safeti DNV);
Software for heat radiation / flare dispersion analysis (e.g., Flaresim);
Knowledge of computer codes for source term evaluation (e.g., Hysys, Olga) or hydraulic analysis (e.g., Pipenet) is considered a plus.
In general good knowledge of technical safety studies and associated procedures
What else should you know? Some travelling will be expected within EMEA, Africa, Worldwide, etc.
