Procurement Intern (12-month contract)

Job Description:

Responsibilities

* Assist Supply Chain with supplier set up, research, outreach, supplier assessments, competitive sourcing, reviewing purchase requests.
* Work with key business stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of ongoing business needs.
* Fleet administration including employee onboarding, vehicle inventory management and other fleet related tasks.
* Develop meaningful data analytics for presentations and to support negotiations.
* Coordination with suppliers and data transfer.
* Support implementation of digitized platforms, including the launch of any new supplier site portals and the development of internal support tools.
* Seek opportunities to drive savings to and efficiencies for the business and implement new processes or suppliers as needed.
* Focus on change management strategies to further support colleagues, internal customers, and external partners as our business overall adapt to change.
* Research markets to assist in strategy development and development of market expertise.
* Other tasks as assigned.

Competencies

* Must have recently graduated from a relevant University degree program - supply chain, logistics, business administration, etc
* Excellent customer service and written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.
* Flexibility to take on additional work, as required.
* Ability to speak French will be considered an asset.
