CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
* Understand and interpret client needs and design potential solutions
* Evaluate, propose, and launch process improvement initiatives
* Evaluate and propose improvements to deployment management processes
* Test and participate in the implementation of new tools aimed at improving processes
* Support the service delivery team responsible for transitioning projects to operations teams
* Perform in-depth analyses of incidents to identify trends and common issues that can be corrected
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
* Must be a student in Electrical Engineering or a related field
* Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role, which involves interactions with national and global clients
Technical Skills
* Good knowledge of the electrical field
* Good understanding of active, reactive, and apparent power
* Good knowledge of the equipment that makes up an electrical network and their primary functions (transformers, transmission lines, load shedding, synchronous compensators / capacitor banks)
Knowledge of Electrical Standards and Safety Aspects
* ASP Construction certification is a strong asset
Understanding of Roles Within the Electrical Network
* Technician
* Dispatcher
Analyst Skills
* Knowledge of test execution processes
* Knowledge of test writing processes (functional, non-functional, boundary testing)
* Understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria
* Strong documentation quality and execution reporting
* Knowledge of JIRA is an asset
