Test Automation Designer Coop/Intern

Job Description:

Position: Test Automation Designer Coop/Intern
Number of Position(s): 1
Duration: 4 Months
Date: Fall Term (Sept 8th - Dec 18th)
Location: In office at 600 March Rd. Ottawa, Canada.

As a part of our team, you will:
* Development of scripts or applications (XML, REST, JavaScript, Perl) to simulate various management activities and network scenarios.
* Development and execution of test plans to validate functional aspects of the product.
* Investigation of product defects encountered during test scenarios.
* Execution of tests and maintenance of regression and performance test beds, including publishing results and developing additional functionality

Candidate Requirements:

* Currently a candidate for a Master's, Bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Engineering/Computer Science, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
* Strong programming (Java, Perl, XML, JS) and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment
* Knowledge of software and/or testing methodologies
It would be nice if you also had:
* Experience using development tools like Git, IDEs, Jira, and Teams
* Networking and telecommunications knowledge
* Linux operating environment, Windows, Virtual Machines
