Sustainability Intern

Job Description:

For the Central Team of Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C), we are looking for a Sustainability Intern to join our Communication & Sustainability department. This internship will offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainability practices, project management, and stakeholder communications. You will focus on providing support in project and awareness activities within the team. The ideal candidate should be a sustainability enthusiast, have strong communication skills and the ability to create compelling presentations, and be reliable and organized in managing work activities.

Main responsibilities:
* Providing support in engaging GC&C global employees in change management activities towards Sustainability
* Conducting research and analysis on sustainability trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements
* Collaborating with various departments to gather data and insights for sustainability reporting
* Assisting in organizing events, workshops, and campaigns related to sustainability
* Monitoring and reporting on the progress of sustainability projects and initiatives

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
* Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Economics, Sustainability, Environmental Science, International Relations or a related field
* Strong interest in sustainability topics demonstrated through coursework, projects, or extracurricular activities
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AI tools)
* Fluency in English, any additional language is a plus (Italian included)

Nice to have:
* Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and standards (e.g., ESRD, GRI, SASB, TCFD) and knowledge of corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices and principles
* Direct knowledge of corporate/brokers/non-life insurance business
* Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
* Previous project or internship experiences in a related field during university studies are a plus
