Job Description:
As the Central Strategy team for Philippines at ByteDance eCommerce, we support growth planning, business model development, cross-functional strategic initiatives and operational execution. We work closely with Product, Analytics, Marketing, Operations, Business Development and other teams to turn insights into action, monitor key metrics (e.g., growth, adoption, engagement) and ensure that strategic priorities are executed effectively. As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. Insight into how data, business models and operations come together to shape growth plans. Responsibilities - Conduct research and market analysis: gather data on industry trends, competitor behaviour, user and partner segments; perform opportunity-sizing and segmentation to support strategic planning. - Analyze business and operational data: monitor key metrics (growth, adoption, CRM, partner programmes, seller/creator performance depending on remit); identify patterns, anomalies and insights to summarise for the Strategy Lead and team. - Support strategic initiatives: help break down large strategic projects into work-streams, assist in prioritising tasks, prepare materials and track progress across cross-functional partners. - Build dashboards and reports: create and maintain simple dashboards (Excel / Google Sheets / BI tool) to monitor business health and strategic KPIs; produce periodic updates for senior stakeholders. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams: work alongside Product, Operations, Marketing, Analytics, Business -Development teams to align support efforts, ensure execution and manage coordination and communication. - Identify opportunities for process improvement: assist in mapping current workflows, highlighting bottlenecks or inefficiencies and proposing recommendations for improvement. - Assist in documentation and communication: draft briefing decks, strategy summaries, meeting minutes, follow-up actions; help ensure clear communication of project status. - Ad hoc support: as needed, support the Strategy Lead in preparation for business reviews, competitive benchmarking, threat-/opportunity-scanning, etc
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications - Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in business preferably in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science or a related field. - Strong analytical and logical thinking skills; comfortable working with numbers and data. - Proactive, curious and comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Preferred Qualifications - Prior internship or project experience in strategy, consulting, business operations, analytics or a tech/digital environment. - Versed in Excel/Google Sheets with basic skills in pivot and formulas (including, but not limited to, vlookup, sumifs, etc.) - Interest or experience in digital media, e-commerce, platform business models or creator economy. - Comfortable collaborating with multiple teams and managing coordination across stakeholders.
