Role Summary

As an OTA Test Automation Engineering Intern you will be responsible for executing regular regression testing to ensure the quality of over-the-air software updates, maintaining software test suites, maintaining test automation infrastructure, and working cross-functionally with teams around the company to address problems uncovered during testing.

Over the Air Updates are situated centrally within all domains of vehicle software, so OTA Test Automation Engineering Intern will have the opportunity to work with many software domains in the vehicle and the cloud to support the buildout of test infrastructure and resolution behavioral regressions.
Responsibilities

* Automated Testing Support: Help ensure the quality of OTA components by developing and executing automated test scripts for end-to-end product verification.
* Requirements Translation: Partner with OTA systems and firmware engineers to learn how to convert technical requirements into functional automated test suites.
* Infrastructure Maintenance: Assist in maintaining hardware and software test benches, ensuring they are ready for regression testing across various product lines.
* Data & Reporting: Develop and update dashboards and reporting schemas to help the team track testing progress and visualize software quality trends.
* Regression Triage: Assist in the initial investigation (triage) of bugs or failures found during testing, working with senior engineers to communicate findings to stakeholders.
* Parallel Development: Support the bring-up of new features by working alongside firmware teams to build testing tools in tandem with core software development.
Qualifications

* Knowledge of Python programming language is a must
* Familiarity with C++ programming language
* Familiarity with Git, GitLab, Jenkins, or any CI/CD tool
* Familiarity with contemporary web API architectures such as REST or GraphQL
* Familiarity with Linux system

Pay Disclosure

This is a full-time, paid internship with a monthly salary.
