Job Description:
At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.
The Position
Counterfeit medicines and diagnostic products pose a significant risk to the safety of patients. Counterfeit products can be found in any country and often look identical to authentic versions, making them difficult to detect, particularly for patients. Patients believe they are taking the right treatment, but they are actually at risk. The counterfeits may contain too much or too little of the active ingredients, or none at all, preventing patients from receiving the proper treatment. Even worse, counterfeits are made with toxic substances or ineffective preparations that can cause serious illness or even death.
Counterfeiting is an illegal activity that has serious consequences for public health and patient safety. That's why Roche is fully committed to working with health authorities and law enforcement agencies worldwide to aid their investigations into the source of counterfeits and prevent their distribution. We employ several anti-counterfeit strategies to combat this global threat to public health and help ensure the integrity of our products, and we are committed to giving healthcare professionals and patients the information they need to safely access them.
The opportunity
You will support the GRACC team in executing vital anti-counterfeiting strategies, ensuring the integrity of our global supply chain, and helping to protect patients from the dangers of counterfeit medicines. Furthermore, you will
* Assist in the ongoing development and monitoring of Roche's anti-counterfeit strategies and supply chain security initiatives.
* Support the creation of educational materials and communications aimed at healthcare professionals and patients to help them recognize authentic products and avoid counterfeits.
* Help coordinate efforts between internal teams, health authorities, and law enforcement agencies to aid in tracking and investigating counterfeit sources.
* Assist in tracking global counterfeiting trends and data to help the team identify potential vulnerabilities in the market.
Who you are
You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree (ideally in Public Health, Supply Chain Management, Life Sciences, Law, or Business). In addition, you have:
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft/Google applications (Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint). Experience with data tracking or risk analysis tools is a plus.
* A strong interest in patient safety, global supply chain security, regulatory affairs, and public health policy.
* A team player mindset who thinks outside the box, shares their ideas, and has a strong ethical commitment to safeguarding patient health and well-being.
