Role description:
We are seeking a motivated Design Intern to join our North America Places Design Management team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates eager to gain hands-on experience and explore a career in design management, architecture, or engineering within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
You will work alongside experienced Design Managers, architects, engineers, and project managers, supporting live projects and learning industry best practices. The internship offers mentorship, exposure to major projects, and the chance to develop technical and professional skills.

Role accountabilities:
As a Design Intern you will:
* Team Collaboration: Assist internal architects, engineers, consultants, and project managers with project coordination and documentation.
* Design Support: Help organize and track design deliverables across multiple disciplines for complex projects.
* Client Interaction: Attend meetings with clients and project teams, taking notes and supporting follow-up actions.
* Digital Tools: Learn and use digital platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or Building Information Modeling (BIM) for project work.
* Reporting & Communication: Contribute to written reports, presentations, and project documentation, developing your technical communication skills.
* Project Administration: Support project management controls, resource tracking, and financial documentation under supervision.
* Quality Review: Participate in the review of drawings, designs, and project scopes, learning about effective project execution.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
* Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field focused on the built environment.
* Eagerness to learn and contribute in a team environment.
* Interest in using digital platforms (e.g., ACC, BIM).
Preferred:
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Interest in project scheduling tools.
* Passion for sustainability and transformative design solutions.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $22.45 - $33.70 / hour. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
