Our team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practices regionally and we have a need for an engineering intern in our Baton Rouge. This position serves in a support role to engineers and project managers on water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. This individual will be a part of a dynamic team and will participate in the design, coordination, and execution of projects for our clients. This individual will both work independently and with peers as part of a team. This position should be a self-motivated professional with a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project while delivering transformative projects for our clients, in our diverse and fast-paced office.

Responsibilities

* Work under the supervision of senior level engineers.
* Perform a wide variety of routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
* Make field trips and conduct field audits.
* Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
* Prepare planning, engineering and/or construction documents, reports, studies, and calculations.

Here's what you'll need

* In pursuit of a Bachelor or Masters of Science degree in Engineering, Environmental or Construction Management in an ABET accredited program
* Must be at least a Sophomore in Fall 2023
* Interest in Water / Wastewater
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

Ideally, you'll also have

* Minimum of a 2.8 GPA
* Field experience
* A previous internship related to your field of study
* Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs
* Self-driven time management and organizational skills

The base salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
