This role supports the team's broader objective of maintaining high-quality financial reporting and operational excellence within MetLife's Investments Finance organization.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with complex financial instruments, contribute to real-time reporting and automation initiatives, and develop practical technical and analytical skills in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the preparation and booking of journal entries for derivative activity, including supporting documentation and analysis
* Support derivative accounting and reporting processes, including data validation and review of system outputs (e.g., DAR, HFM)
* Perform data analysis and tie-outs across systems to ensure consistency between source systems, subledgers, and the general ledger
* Contribute to financial reporting deliverables, including internal reporting packages and regulatory disclosures
* Support automation and process improvement initiatives (e.g., Excel, Alteryx and AI workflows)

Required Qualifications

* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with anticipated graduation date of May 2027
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work with financial data
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, data analysis, basic modeling)
* Basic understanding of financial accounting concepts (GAAP fundamentals preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial work
*
Effective written and verbal communication skills
*
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
