Just down the road in Bibb County, MBUSI has launched the production of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Essential Functions:
* Actively support National Commodity Specialist with sourcing strategies for non-production materials
* Assist in organizing supplier days, team events and collaborative workshops
* Support the management of supplier data, contracts and compliance documentation
* Particpate in negotiations (scope, pricing, terms) under the guidance of senior buyers
* Serve as liaison between internal business partners, suppliers and the purchasing team
* Contribute to organizational development initiatives to improve purchasing processes
* Run, analyze and present key performance indicators (KPIs) to management

Other Regular Daily Tasks:
* Build cost breakdowns, price comparisons and analyis tools in Excel
* Create and manage RFQs and Purchase Orders using ProCure (MB buying system)
* Communicate directly with suppliers and internal business partners
* Organize and facilitate project meetings, track action items and report progress
* Prepare presentations and briefings in Powerpoint
* Support continuous improvement activities within the purchasing department

Qualifikationen

Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:
Student in: Mechanical Engineering, Finance/Controlling, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Procurement/Legal, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
* Fluent in English (oral/written)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
* High degree of motivation, initiative and engagement
* Ability to work in a diverse and open environment with all team members
* Strong organizational and project management skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Interest in contract negotation and supplier management

Preferred Start Date:
* July 2026

Benefits:
* Paid Internship - hourly rate $18
* Coverage of visa costs
* $700 housing bonus

Requirements:
* Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degree
* Studies outside of the U.S.A
* A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study
* Available for a minimum of 6 months
