Job Description:
1. Community Engagement and Sponsorship Planning
· Support AP staff in facilitating partnerships and connections among different local stakeholders (formal and informal community groups, and local government agencies) to mobilize resources for the well-being of children in alignment with the stakeholders mapping of the area
· Develop self-awareness of WVI's mission, vision & values, child-focused and community-based development approach and express them at work
· Participating in the facilitation of AP planning activities at targeted communes
· Support Development Facilitator (DF) in facilitating annual community review and planning at targeted communes with a focus on impact, sustainability and effectiveness
· Participating in the process of supporting communities and partners to develop and implement community-based disaster preparedness plans
2. Monitoring
· Support DF in facilitating shared monitoring activities and reports in targeted communes
· Support AP team in preparing for refection meetings with participation of communities
· Participating in the annual program effectiveness/ PAF self-review and community-based groups self-review
1. Child participation and protection
· Support DF in strengthening child clubs and children led community initiatives
· Develop self capacity in using child friendly tools such as photo voice, body map, river of life and increase the use of these tools to increase child participation and voice in the community
2. Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) inclusion
· Support local partners in MVC mapping and updates for AP contexts
· Utilize MVC mapping results for the implementation of technical project interventions/models to make sure MVC are included
· Support AP team in documenting best practices, lesson learnt and Most Significant Change (MSC) stories of MVC and their families
3. Sponsorship integration:
· Support the child monitoring processes and follow up with case management of registered children in targeted communes.
· Integrate sponsorship communication in program activities where possible
· Provide support to AP manager to captures Transformational Stories of Registered children to communicate with sponsors
· Support the delivery of sponsor engagement features to meet quality and delivery standards of sponsorship products
4. HEA-DRR
Being under the instruction of AP to join emergency response in the targeted Area Program when needed.

Project Implementation:
1. Implementation of Technical Models
· Study the Technical Models of WVIV and practice his/her learning by supporting DF in facilitating the implementation of technical models in alignment with the standard guidelines (cost norms) and tools while ensuring that they are suitable for the uniqueness of the AP context
· Support DF in facilitating the supportive supervision process in targeted communes to ensure technical quality of the project models
· Support AP in mainstreaming Cross cutting themes (CPPa, gender, environment, disability, climate change adaptation) in all project activities whenever appropriate/
· Support AP in documenting data and collecting evidence to serve Indicators Tracking Table (ITT)
· Support DF in facilitating communities and partners to participate in the baseline/endline survey and evaluation in assigned communes
1. Financial Management
· Manage resources with integrity and stewardship, in compliance with WVV's financial policies and procedures.
· Coordinate procurement and strategic sourcing in assigned communes

IV. EXPECTED OUTCOME
· Learn about the NGO Sector, understanding Community and Sustainable Development, sponsorship support
· Being equipped with the technical competencies relating to community development sector
· Enhance presentation, teamwork and management skills and gain experience in project development and administration
· Gain direct, hands-on experience in community services and development work, as the first step to embarking on a career within this field
· A successful traineeship period may be followed by an opportunity for full-time employment with WVV
V. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ATTITUDE REQUIRED
The following knowledge, skills and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on-the-job training
· Bachelor degree in a relevant field (preferably social works, community development, public health, education, business development…)
· Passionate about giving back and would like to have a career in community development
· Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
· Be able to function well in a team environment
· Basic written English skills, particularly report writing skills
· Good computer skills (word processing, excel and power point)
· Humility, respect, and care for others - especially the vulnerable children
· Willingness to work at the project sites (village/ commune level) with frequent travel
The appointee shall be committed to working with and learning from poor and marginalized people, especially children. The trainee will be expected to support the philosophy, purpose and values of WVI in its work with the poor in Vietnam.
