Job Description:

The WHS Site Manager plays an important role in helping our Operation deliver to our customers. We are looking for motivated individuals who want to be the one behind the Amazon smile.
The WHS Site Manager will be responsible for collaborating with Site Operations team to execute company policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local and regional regulations. By leveraging lean principles and kaizens, the WHS Site Manager will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our Associates. A successful WHS Site Manager will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and inspire change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and data analysis.

Key job responsibilities
* Manage overall compliance with local requirements and authorities.
* Provide advice and guidance on Health and Safety matters to all stakeholders within designated area of responsibility.
* Provide management information and statistics related to your area of responsibility.
* Support business change through effective change management processes within the fast-paced environment.
* Continuous Improvement Management with partners, as well as development of SOPs, ensuring Amazon's requirements, guidelines and policies are communicated and executed by partners.
* Build strong working relationships with internal peers, and maintain and improve communication.
* Develop plans for on-site emergencies, peak safety, heat stress, special events and other unique WHS situations.
* Perform WHS data analysis and establish improvement plans.
* Ensure WHS record-keeping and provide reporting and metrics to support business WHS
work with Legal for WHS regulations interpretations and investigations.
* Develop and implement solutions to eliminate exposure to identified risks and prevent injury.
understanding of local/regional regulations and company policy.
* Audit the workplace organization and Associate behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.
* Ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy.
* Partner with corporate and other regional field WHS personnel to leverage global best practices

Candidate Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Experience in oral and written communication in English
- increasing responsibilities in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience
- Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
