Job Description:
We're looking for a strategic, creative, and data-driven communications leader to own Amazon's retail narrative in Brazil. The mission for this role is clear: amplify Amazon's brand perception in Brazil through sustained communications campaigns that drive long-term awareness, consideration, and affinity among Brazilian consumers.
You'll shape how millions of Brazilians perceive Amazon's shopping experience, driving awareness of our unmatched selection, competitive pricing, delivery speed, and innovation across earned, owned, and paid efforts spanning traditional and non-traditional channels. This is a rare opportunity to lead communications for a business operating in a dynamic segment under accelerated evolution - where AI is redefining how customers discover, shop, and interact with brands - and you'll do it from inside a company that doesn't just talk about innovation, but builds it into everything, from the search bar to the doorstep.
Key job responsibilities
You will lead end-to-end communications strategy for Amazon Brazil's retail business, translating business priorities into compelling narratives across one of the world's most exciting media landscapes - where creators, social media, and AI-driven content are redefining how brands connect with consumers.
* Develop and execute integrated communications strategies for Amazon Brazil's retail business, covering Prime membership, High Velocity Events (Prime Day, Black Friday), High-growth categories, and AI-powered shopping innovations
* Drive narrative connecting operational milestones to customer-facing stories that resonate across diverse audiences
* Lead proactive media relations, creator partnerships, and owned channel strategies that position Amazon as the definitive shopping destination for Brazilian consumers
* Lead and scale a communications operation - including agency partners and contractors to deliver campaigns and sustained always-on storytelling
* Develop measurement frameworks demonstrating quantifiable business impact on brand perception, consideration, and share of voice metrics
* Identify and mitigate reputational risks related to the retail business, providing strategic counsel to senior leaders during issues and crises
A day in the life
You'll start your day with your finger on the pulse of what's shaping conversations - scanning media, social channels, creator content, and costumers signals to stay close to how Brazilians discover, shop, and talk about brands. From there, you'll jump into strategy sessions with local and global Stores and Communications partners on upcoming launches, campaign developments and performance, and always-on storytelling priorities. Your stakeholders span from the Brazil business teams to international communications leaders allocated across the globe.
