Job Summary:
Completes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on Generator or component at the customer site with minimal direction.
We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in (Dartmouth, NS).

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Completing repair activities on generators or components
* Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
* Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
* Maintain detailed records of service
* Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
* Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
* Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
* Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
* High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
* Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision - hands on exposure to working on power generation products.

* Position is a Unionized role.
* Required to perform after hours call out as per above role.
* Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision - hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
* Current relevant electrical certification
* Prior NFPA 70E certification or working with Power Generation Equipment would be an asset
* Able to work as a team and or be self sufficient.
* Hold or maintain clean driving record.
* Locally valid driving permit
* Open to training in other provinces or US
* Self supervision and experience with Marine vessels considered as an advantage.
-This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations and must meet the conditions of the company policy
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Current relevant electrical certification
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:
Minimal level of workshop related experience required.
Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience

Candidate Requirements:

(Entry):
* Primarily engaged in preventative maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators.
* Basic Diesel Engine experience.
