Title and Summary
Analyst, Settlement Operations
The Analyst, Settlement Operations will lead an operational team responsible for daily settlement functions to support customers and regional stakeholders in the Americas time zones. The team will work various shifts to cover the Americas time zones (07:00 to 17:00 US Central time) performing the daily settlement cutoff processing which generates and delivers customer advisements and fund transfer orders, completing customer onboarding and responding to customer inquiries.
The Analyst will ensure settlement is successfully completed within the specified cutoff times in the Americas business day.
The position requires a highly motivated, analytical, detail-oriented individual who can support multiple priorities and works well with cross-functional teams. Additionally, the Analyst will be responsible for leading various initiatives, including new customer implementations, testing, and piloting.
Key Accountabilities
· Ensure daily settlement processing ensuring proper procedures are followed in the execution of domestic and cross-border funds transfers
· Maintain thorough understanding of all reconciliation processes within Settlement
· Ensure timely resolution of settlement issues within banking cut-offs
· Propose process enhancements to improve the efficiency, quality, and timeliness of daily operations
· Resolve discrepancies found in the transaction reconciliations and ensure that desktop procedures remain current.
· Work with customer support to resolve internal and external customer queries
· Provide guidance and training to other personnel (i.e., business units) regarding Settlement processes and operational issues
· Manage incident investigation and resolution for Settlement Operation issues
· Review daily fail reporting and settlement to ensure proper remediation of aged items.
All About You
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of training and experience
· MBA a plus, but not required
· Knowledge of the card payments industry or banking back office payment operations gained through 1 to 2 years of experience
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, treasury operations, and the payment operations industry
· Experience managing daily global settlement operations processes for services and input sources for both internal and external customers
· Proven ability to analyze problems and offer solutions
· Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with cross-functional partners
· Must be self-motivated and a good team player
· Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
