About us:
(COMPANY NAME) is a deep-tech startup founded in Berlin in 2019 with the mission to bring a new lab-on-a-chip midi-infrared spectrometer for monitoring molecules, in particular biomarkers to health and medtech markets. Our success is based on award-winning and disruptive proprietary technology and a strong team of excellent individuals with backgrounds in the fields of physics, medicine, biotechnology, electrical engineering, software development and economics. We have our own well-equipped specialized laboratories in Berlin-Adlershof, where we enjoy realizing a really cool technology for meaningful applications.
Your tasks:
In order to strengthen our development of a new, miniaturized infrared spectrometer, we are looking for you as an energetic Biomedical Engineer who designs, performs and analyzes biomedical experiments and who flourishes when turning the prototype into a product. The position is embedded in a small but powerful team and it requires an independent way of working along with a decision-based way of thinking. With your analytical skills, you will identify weak points in the system and develop solutions to improve the product. As a deep-tech startup, we are looking for truly multi-talented individuals.
Mandatory requirements:
* Education: Masters degree in (bio)medical engineering, medical technology, medical physics or related fields.
* Professional experience: Minimum three years in industry or a PhD in applied areas related to medical engineering, preferrably with a focus on non-invasive techniques.
* Way of working: Product-driven hands-on mentality (solution-oriented, self-motivated, autonomous, analytical).
* Analysis skills: Knowledge of script-based data processing (python).
* Language skills: English C1 level or B2 level when in combination with German C1 level.
* Team work: Good communication skills and conclusive data presentation.
* General skills: Conscientiousness, reliability, self-reliance, and conciseness.
* Location: Willingness to work mainly on site in Berlin-Adlershof.
* Legal: Work permit in Germany.
Preferred requirements:
Specialist knowledge (the more the better): MedTech device design and production, MedTech certifications, clinical studies involving humans, infrared spectroscopy, photoacoustic spectroscopy, molecular spectroscopy, optical spectroscopy.
