Join our dynamic team within the Buyer domain and become a pivotal technical leader, shaping our strategic direction and driving innovative solutions. Your role will involve tackling diverse challenges, fostering effective communication across the organisation, and ensuring the scalability and performance of our solutions.

As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with talented individuals including the Senior Staff Engineer and other dedicated professionals. Reporting to the Engineering Director, you'll not only lead technically but also contribute to the overall engineering success of the domain.

In this role, you'll have the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies such as Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and more. In this position, you'll

* Work closely with domain leadership, drive co-creation of engineering strategy for the domain and ensure that our technology strategy serves product vision.
* Work closely with engineers, improve and own (COMPANY NAME)'s Buyer domain part.
* Collaborate with leadership to set the best practices for software engineering.
* Be a voice of the engineering team and a technical leader when it comes to initiating and supporting projects across the domain and whole organisation.
* Create and maintain technical roadmap for the domain, ensure that the teams in the domain are involved in executing the technical roadmap.
* Collaborate with other domains regarding overarching deliveries and common technical responsibilities.
* Collaborate with other developers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews.

About you

* You have experience working as a technical engineering leader who previously strategised, led, and executed company-wide technical projects.
* You can effectively communicate complex technical goals to audiences both inside and outside the company.
* You can drive a clear architectural vision with the ability to collaborate and iterate on software design.
* You are excellent at communicating in spoken and written English.
* You are willing to take on new challenges and constantly grow as an engineer and leader.
* Work with Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Vespa and many more technologies. We don't expect you to be familiar with any of them beforehand.
* Craft the code that can handle more than 2 million requests per minute. Monitor your deployed code through Kibana, Grafana, Datadog and new tools that you will introduce!

The salary range for this position is EUR107,400 - EUR145,200 gross per year
