We are currently looking for an experienced Vehicle Performance Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for car performance optimisation, focusing on the development of suspension and tyre interaction.RESPONSIBILITIES

VEHICLE PERFORMANCE
Delivery of car performance through optimization of the interaction between suspension, control systems such as Diff, Brake Shapes and Engine Braking, braking system and tyres.
Development and use of vehicle dynamics tools to generate tyre, suspension, control system models and assess tyre performance data as part of the analysis & car development process.
Support for suspensions specification documents for performance development.
Delivery of data analysis and simulation tools usage methodologies.

INNOVATION AND PROFESSIONALISM
Support the development of new vehicle models to improve VPG simulation toolset.
Support of Operation Room activities in Faenza during Tests, GP's and simulator for activities relevant to car performance.
Pre Event Preparation and Post Event Analysis within the defined Working Groups.
Follow Simulator Session as support Engineer for Performance Analysis.

EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:

BSc or MSc level in an Engineering Discipline.
*
Have previous relevant experience working within a high-level motorsport environment or tyre manufacturer involved in high level motorsports.
*
A deep understanding of Car, Tyre and Suspension performance and their interaction with vehicle balance optimization.
*
Experience in analysing tyre performance and suspension in simulation and DiL simulator.
*
Experience of rig and test data analysis tools and correlation to car data.
*
Experience of analysis tool and model development using ADAMS, Dymola & Matlab/Simulink.
*
Be able to demonstrate an innovative and flexible approach to process development, problem solving and possess the ability to work through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
*
Have good communication and analytical skills and be able to work to tight deadlines, often under pressure.
*
Be highly self-motivated, proactive and thrive in a challenging environment keeping a flexible approach to working hours and a high level of responsibility.
