Née en 2012, Culinaria a pour objectif de promouvoir la gastronomie française en Amérique Latine en fournissant une solution de Qualité, facile, rapide et économiquement accessible aux professionnels de la restauration. Elle distribue des produits de pâtisserie et boulangerie français à travers un réseau de distributeurs intégrés ou partenaires. Nous disposons d'une centrale d'achat en France et 2 filiales de distribution (Chili et Panama) sur place.
COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVE High quality Bakery, Pastry, Savory frozen products - Food Service & Retail - Kenya and EAT Location: Nairobi, Kenya Contract Type: Full-time Reports to: Regional Director / Group Headquarters (France) 1. About the company The company is the specialist in the distribution of premium frozen products for Food Service and Retail professionals in Kenya. We support hotels, restaurants, caterers, retailers and distributors by offering them a range of high-quality Bakery, Pastry, Savory products, imported from Europe or produced locally. Our mission: to simplify the daily life of professionals with reliable and tasty solutions. 2. Your mission The Country representative oversees all commercial and operational activities in Kenya, ensuring profitable growth, operational excellence, and sustainable expansion into neighbouring markets (Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda…). This role combines strategic leadership, hands-on management, and business development responsibilities. 3. Your responsibilities Strategy & Business Development * Define and implement the local strategy in alignment with group objectives. * Identify growth opportunities in new markets, distribution partnerships, or local manufacturing. * Develop the company's footprint in East Africa through strong partnerships and brand positioning. Product Range Management * Define and manage a coherent and profitable product portfolio combining imported and locally sourced products. * Analyze customer demand, product performance, and competitive dynamics to adjust the assortment. * Work closely with suppliers and local manufacturers to ensure product quality, consistency, and innovation. * Ensure the alignment between commercial strategy, operational feasibility, and product availability. Sales & Marketing * Drive revenue and margin growth through key account management and business development. * Negotiate with clients, distributors, and suppliers. * Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through service excellence. * Implement marketing and promotional initiatives to increase visibility and sales. Operations & Supply Chain * Supervise import, logistics, warehousing, and local production activities. * Optimize costs, processes, and inventory levels. * Guarantee compliance with local regulations, food safety, and group standards. Finance & Administration * Manage budgets, P&L, and cash flow. * Provide accurate reporting to headquarters. * Monitor profitability and identify improvement levers. * Liaise with auditors, banks, and authorities

Candidate Requirements:

Profile & Requirements Experience * First successful experience in B2B sales, ideally in the food industry, bakery, pastry, catering or premium FMCG sector. * Previous exposure to business development, client management, or operational roles with strong commercial accountability. * Experience in emerging markets or a strong appetite for learning and adapting to East African business environments. * Interest in cold chain logistics and understanding of food industry operational challenges. Skills * Autonomous, adaptable, and collaborative, with strong communication and leadership potential. * Strong commercial sense, negotiation and relationship-building abilities. * Analytical and results-oriented mindset, with good business acumen. * Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution. * Fluent in English and French
