Research & Innovation Formulator

Job Description:

Within the Research & Innovation (R&I) Cosmetic Laboratory of CHANEL Korea, in collaboration with the Innovation, Research and Development (IRD) of Chanel Fragrance and Beauty Division (FBP) and the International R&I Centers, create and develop high-performance, sustainable, and original solutions for skin care, makeup and toiletries that contribute to business growth in Asia and globally. * Propose innovative formulas and/or innovative products (formula, pack, gesture) inspired by the specificities of the Korean market or based on Korean technology, trends, rituals which could respond to problematics, needs gaps or Chanel strategy. * Answer the needs of International Marketing Team & Creative Studio in terms of formula & product development by leading prospective formulation projects. * Interact with Korean network (raw materials suppliers, packaging suppliers, ODM, Startup) to identify new solutions. * Analyze competitor's products with technical point of view and infuse insights

Candidate Requirements:

Academic / Professional Qualifications - Bachelor degree or Master degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical is preferable). Master degree is preferred. Required Competencies - Formulation skills (cosmetics and/or pharmaceutics). - Language: English mandatory, French and/or Korean can be a plus. - Presentation/ communication skills in both oral and written. - Familiar with organizational complexity and international working environment. - MS Office proficiency. - Personality: curious, collaborative, organized, structured, responsible, creative, flexible and adaptable
