Primary Function of Position:
The Pre Payroll Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of employee payroll data prior to payroll processing. This position partners Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, managers, and employees to validate workforce transactions, resolve discrepancies, maintain payroll data integrity, and ensure payroll readiness while complying with company policies and applicable labor regulations
Roles & Responsibilities:
Employee data Management:
* Validate and maintain employee master data, including new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, salary changes, organizational updates, and payroll-related transactions to ensure data integrity across HRIS and payroll systems.
Time & Attendance Administration:
* Manage attendance calculations and payroll-related time transactions, including overtime, leaves of absence, vacation, disability, special leaves, students (interns), and attendance corrections to ensure payroll readiness.
Payroll Input Validation
* Collect, validate, and reconcile payroll inputs, including bonuses, retroactive payments, allowances, payroll corrections, benefit-related transactions
* Ensure payroll transactions are complete, accurate, and approved according to company policies
* Monitor payroll exception reports and resolve discrepancies before payroll close.
Statutory Compliance:
* Process employee movements through IMSS/IDSE and support compliance with labor and social security regulations, maintaining required documentation for payroll audits.
Continuous Improvement
* Participate in payroll system enhancements, process standardization, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide support to employees, managers, and cross-functional teams regarding payroll-related inquiries
Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, , Human Resources, or related field.
* Basic knowledge in Federal Labor Law and Social Security regulations.
* Familiar with pre-payroll process
* Experience with HRIS or payroll systems (Workday, TRESS).
* English as a second language (60%)
* Microsoft Excel (Intermediate)
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and customer focus
