Job Purpose This role exists to deliver end-to-end operational excellence for all tax-related processes for El Salvador, ensuring timely and accurate compliance, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and support for audit activities. As part of the GBS Tax Operations team in Mexico, the Tax Analyst will execute recurring compliance cycles, support quarterly and monthly closings, maintain tax books and local-format files, and ensure strong governance and data quality across all tax submissions. The role contributes directly to enabling risk-free operations through rigorous compliance, continuous improvement, standardization, and collaboration with external advisors and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Monthly & Quarterly Compliance - El Salvador * Prepare, review, update, and modify Quarterly Closing (Q Closing) deliverables. * Perform Monthly WHT CIT compliance, including calculations, controls, and submissions. * Execute Monthly Virtual VAT compliance. * Manage VAT Sales, Purchases, Percibed, and Retained monthly filings. * Transcribe and issue WHT VAT Certificates. * Prepare pre-closing packages including review, adjustments, reconciliations, and communication. Reconciliations & Local Formats * Update and maintain balance sheet reconciliations for VAT and WHT. * Perform additional WHT format updates. * Maintain reconciliation integrity and resolve discrepancies proactively. Reporting & Legal Books * Prepare and maintain Legal VAT Books. * Prepare and submit F987 Supplier Report. * Prepare and submit F910 Annual WHT Report. * Prepare Annex 4 (preliminary and final versions). External Advisor Support & Certification Processes * Support Balance Sheet account certifications. * Provide documentation for KPMG Audit Requests. * Provide documentation for EY Annual Declaration Requests. Stakeholder & Issue Management * Resolve supplier queries related to WHT issues. * Collaborate with Advisory, P2P, Finance, and external partners. * Identify risks, propose solutions, and communicate process requirements clearly. Required Qualifications * Strong accounting skills * Experience in tax compliance, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly tax cycles. * Strong Excel skills and ability to manage large datasets. * Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and data quality. * Effective communication skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Preferred Qualifications * Experience in multinational or shared services environments. * Familiarity with SAP, Blackline, or similar tools. * Exposure to automation or process optimization initiatives.
