Location: Hengelo, Netherlands
INTERNAL PROJECT MANAGER SOFTWARE (F126)
32 - 40 hours per week, Hengelo
Thales Nederland is active in the Defense and Security sectors and is, with about 3000 employees, a top provider of high-tech jobs. Product innovation and swift anticipation of the newest technological possibilities are the mainsprings of our business. Thales Nederland is a world leader in the naval radar market, producing high-tech radar systems that continuously push technology boundaries. These radar systems consist of active electronically scanned phased array antennas that combine different technological disciplines at high levels of integration. Thales Nederland is part of the Thales Group, which has a workforce of 85,000 in more than 60 countries making it one of Europe's largest electronics companies.
We help our customers think smarter and act faster in the fields of transportation, defense, space, aerospace and cyberspace, mastering ever-greater complexity and every decisive moment along the way. We are therefore leading the digital transformation, focusing on artificial intelligence, big-data & data analytics, connectivity, mobility and internet of things and cybersecurity.
Anti-ship missiles go three to five times faster than sound with increasingly complex behavior. When several of these threats come up against them simultaneously, it becomes increasingly difficult for human operators to take efficient and effective protection measures. The advanced Fire Control System that is being built by Thales, provides the necessary information to make the right decision within seconds.
With a combination of a new generation of sensors and this intelligent Fire Control System, it continuously assesses which methods are best suited to engage the detected threat. A Fire Control System combines the radar and the intelligent algorithm which is designed to assist a ranged weapon system in targeting, tracking and hitting its target.
To work on these systems within the F126 Engineering department, we are looking for a Work Package Manager (Internal Project Manager) F126 for Software
