Job Description:
Overview
Our client, a leading international organization in the financial services sector, is currently undergoing a major digital transformation and is looking for a Camunda 8 Developer to join a newly established workflow orchestration team.
You will contribute to the development and scaling of a strategic workflow platform, initially launched as a Proof of Concept and now evolving into a full product used across multiple business domains.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain workflow-based applications using Camunda 8
* Implement and manage BPMN processes aligned with business requirements
* Develop and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs
* Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions
* Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and code reviews
* Develop and execute automated tests (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, etc.)
* Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to deliver appropriate solutions
* Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum) and contribute to backlog refinement
* Produce technical documentation and present new features or solutions
* Support and mentor junior team members
* Work closely with cross-functional and partner technology teams
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Java Developer in similar environments
* Hands-on experience with Camunda 8 and BPMN process implementation
* Strong expertise in Java (11+) and Object-Oriented Programming principles
* Solid experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Cloud)
* Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
* Strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber)
* Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, etc.)
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
* Good understanding of the software development lifecycle
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Nice to Have
* Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
* Knowledge of OpenShift environments
* Familiarity with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana) or NoSQL databases
* Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines
* Basic knowledge of Spanish
