Job Description:
We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based data pipelines that ensure high data availability, quality, and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Governance and Analytics, contributing to robust data engineering standards and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines in a cloud environment
* Perform peer code reviews and participate in data pipeline validation and verification activities
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering standards, processes, and best practices
* Support internal customers by ensuring data availability, data quality, and optimal pipeline and dashboard performance
* Develop and maintain data quality frameworks, concepts, and tooling
* Collaborate with the Data Governance team to support the rollout and adoption of data quality concepts and tools
Qualifications:
Education
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Experience
* Proven experience working on data engineering projects in a professional environment
* Hands-on experience designing and maintaining data pipelines in the cloud
* Experience working with large datasets and distributed data processing
Technical Skills
* High proficiency in Python and SQL
* Strong hands-on experience with PySpark
* Experience with Azure Databricks is a strong plus
* Solid understanding of software development principles (e.g., SOLID, clean code, version control)
Soft Skills & Attributes
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
* Attention to detail, especially regarding data quality and reliability
* Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Languages
* English: Fluent (spoken and written)
* Portuguese: Fluent (spoken and written)
