We are seeking a skilled and proactive QA / Test Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be a champion for product excellence, ensuring our software meets strict quality standards and exceeds customer expectations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end testing lifecycle-from analyzing requirements and designing robust test strategies to coding automated test suites and fostering a "built-in quality" mindset across the organization.
Your Main Tasks & Duties
* Test Strategy & Execution: Compose, execute, and assess functional and non-functional tests aligned with the defined test strategy to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. + Requirements & Design Review: Review the product backlog, requirements, and specifications for clarity, testability, and traceability. Analyze system designs and architecture with a sharp eye for code quality, risks, and testability.
* Test Case Management: Create, maintain, and review test cases for software across all lifecycle phases within our designated tooling and documentation standards + Test Automation: Build software that tests software by writing automated test code or integrating robust third-party tools into our existing test suites.
* Environment & Infrastructure Management: Configure, manage, and maintain stable and scalable Test Environments + Defect Tracking & Metrics: Execute test cases, analyze results, report/track issues, and verify incoming fixes. Define and monitor relevant quality metrics to track overall product health.
* Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation under your responsibility (including test cases, test results, tooling guides, and best practices).
* Risk & Compliance: Collaborate on product risk assessments by identifying potential failures and ensuring adequate test coverage. Guarantee strict adherence to quality standards, relevant Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), SOPs, and Working Instructions.
Continuous Improvement & Leadership
* Process Optimization: Provide continuous input to improve testing processes and overall efficiency, heavily leveraging test automation where appropriate.
* QA Initiatives: Actively participate in internal testing improvement initiatives to elevate our engineering standards.
* Mentorship & Culture: Share, coach, and actively train team members both within and outside the department to promote a strong built-in quality mindset.
Who you are
* Experience: Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, or in a similar software testing role.
* Automation Skills: Experience building test frameworks via code (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) or integrating modern third-party automation tools.
* Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to review architectural designs, pinpoint technical risks, and ensure full test traceability.
* Compliance Awareness: Familiarity working within structured environments governed by SOPs, QAPs, and strict quality guidelines is a plus.
* Soft Skills: Excellent collaboration, communication, and coaching skills to advocate for quality across cross-functional teams.
