Job Description:

You will conduct original research aimed at the design and synthesis of novel, biologically active compounds in hit discovery, hit-to-lead and lead optimization programs.
We seek enthusiastic candidates with a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry with strong synthetic problem solving skills and extensive and in depth-knowledge of modern organic synthetic methods.
The candidate should have proven large experience in Heterocyclic Synthesis and parallel chemistry. In addition, the candidate should prove large expertise in isolation, purification and characterization of organic compounds.
As a part of a group, you will need to plan the work objectives and contribute to guide and supervise some chemistry technicians. Excellent communication and leadership skills, a strong customer focus and an ability to work well in a team setting are required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong background and proven experience in Heterocyclic and Parallel Synthesis (both, in solution and on solid phase).
* Isolation, purification and characterization of complex organic compounds.
* PhD level degree.
* Postdoctoral experience is recommended.
* Strong track of publications/patents/contributions in the field of organic
* synthesis/heterocyclic/medicinal chemistry.
* Previous experience in guiding and mentoring technical staff.
