Job Description:
Oncology Pipeline Scientific Lead is a pivotal field-based role that connects GSK to the healthcare community. This non-promotional, customer-facing position focuses on advancing clinical practice within an assigned territory to improve patient outcomes. The Oncology Pipeline Scientific Lead brings deep clinical and oncology therapeutic expertise and market/landscape knowledge to engage with Healthcare Providers (HCPs) and account personnel, in alignment with GSK's medical strategies and plans.
Key objectives of the Oncology Pipeline Scientific Lead include engaging with various community and academic experts, facilitating scientific exchange, and serving as a medical resource. These scientific interactions aim to ensure that healthcare providers, and other decision makers understand the unmet patient and healthcare needs, evolving treatment landscape and the benefit/risk profile of GSK medicines for their safe and appropriate use, improved patient outcomes and closure of gaps in unmet medical.
This role is crucial for identifying disease and product-related medical needs, ensuring the exchange of scientific knowledge, capturing and communicating medical insights, and facilitating research to advance clinical practice.
This is a highly specialized role linked to our current oncology pipeline and recent GSK oncology acquisitions. The position therefore requires a clearly defined and stringent oncology profile, with immediate credibility in solid tumors, hematology, clinical development, and scientific exchange with oncology experts.
In this role you will
* Leverage scientific expertise and market knowledge to identify and engage HCPs (including academic and community HCPs, Pharmacists, Physician Assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals) who may have educational needs and can provide insights needed to inform medical plans.
* Engage with HCPs on emerging data, clinical trials, medical unmet needs, patient barriers to access, market dynamics, and educate on disease state and product information.
* Contribute to medical strategy by collecting and communicating medical insights throughout the product lifecycle and understanding the potential impact of these insights.
* Demonstrate strategic territory planning and management and appropriate identification, mapping, and planning of scientific engagements in territory with key accounts and aligned with medical strategy.
* Support clinical trials by facilitating relevant medical activities and collaborating with Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations colleagues.
* Collaborate with internal colleagues (e.g., Medical Affairs, marketing, commercial, sales) to ensure a customer-centric approach aligned with GSK Standard Operating Procedures.
* Understand and address the unique medical needs and attributes of accounts (e.g. educational needs, pathways).
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned therapeutic areas and GSK medicines to serve as a medical resource to both customers and internal colleagues. Understand the landscape and prepare to address the educational needs of customers.
* Adhere to GSK's Code of Conduct, policies and standards, and relevant ways of working documents. Ensure all activities are conducted in a compliant manner, reflecting GSK's commitment to transparency, respect, integrity, and patient focus.
* Execute all administrative responsibilities, training, and documentation requirements in a timely manner.
* Participate in Field Medical and cross-enterprise projects and teams that support medical strategies and tactics.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
* Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine or a related scientific field (Master's or PhD preferred).
* Experience in a Medical Affairs, Clinical Research or Medical Science Liaison role in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
* Deep and current oncology expertise in lung and/or GI cancers, including treatment sequencing, biomarker-driven decisions, standard of care evolution, competitor assets, and emerging modalities such as IO, targeted therapies, and ADCs.
* Proven oncology clinical trial literacy with strong ability to interpret and communicate clinical data and statistics clearly.
* Established peer-to-peer credibility with oncology stakeholders, including experience engaging oncologists, MDTs, tumour boards, academic centres, and clinical investigators in challenging scientific discussions.
* Demonstrated ability to generate strategic oncology insights, including patient selection, biomarker testing gaps, sequencing, toxicity management, access barriers, and implications for pipeline strategy.
* Substantial oncology field experience, with the ability to operate independently and credibly from day one.
* Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

* Previous clinical experience in situations where direct/or indirect decision-making authority for patient care was demonstrated (e.g., direct patient care, treatment protocol development, drug therapy guidelines development, traditional clinical pharmacy practice settings).
* Proven track record of consistent, high performance.
* Above average computer literacy (e.g. utilizing AI and digital fluency), including experience with software applications.
