We have an exciting opportunity to join Siemens Mobility as an Assistant Test Engineer in our Manchester office as part of our Rail Infrastructure business. This is an entry level role and will be assessed as having the logical mind to achieve functional tester (3B/4) level within 5 years.
This is a role where you'll learn on the job through comprehensive training and continuous mentoring, making it an ideal opportunity to develop, ask questions and grow in a supportive environment.
You'll make an impact by
* Ensuring health, safety and environmental requirements are complied with both at the site depot and on work sites
* Promoting a zero accident / incident culture and environment
* Assisting the Functional Tester to manage their testing and commissioning activities in accordance with the project programme and budget requirements
* Ensuring their testing and commissioning is carried out and recorded in accordance with correct and up to date drawings, plans, specifications and computer software and data
* Ensuring that the quality of the testing and commissioning is in accordance with SRA, client, manufacturers and legal procedures, processes, regulations and standards
* Establishing and maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship with the client and with subcontractors and other third parties interfaces
* Certifying the system and / or systems are fit for purpose
Your success will be grounded by
* Entry level position with no previous experienced required
* IRSE Licensed as an Assistant Tester (1.3.150) within 12 months
* ONC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (desirable)
