The role

As a Principal Supportability Engineer, you lead the delivery of Integrated Product Support across complex nuclear and defence assets. You influence design decisions early, ensuring reliability, maintainability, availability and long-term supportability are engineered in from the start. This role combines deep technical analysis with strategic thinking, customer engagement and technical leadership.

This is a 37-hour per week role, based in either Leicester or Bristol with two days in the office and three days working from home.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

* Leading reliability, maintainability and availability analysis to support complex engineering systems

* Developing Integrated Product Support strategies, claims, arguments and supporting evidence

* Advising design and engineering teams to improve asset availability and through-life supportability

* Communicating complex technical information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Essential experience of the Principal Supportability Engineer:

* Proven experience delivering reliability, maintainability and availability analysis within complex engineering environments

* Strong background in Integrated Product Support or Integrated Logistics Support disciplines

* Experience producing and substantiating supportability claims, arguments and evidence

* Practical knowledge of reliability modelling tools and analytical techniques

* Ability to influence stakeholders and explain complex engineering concepts with clarity

Qualifications for the Principal Supportability Engineer:

* Degree, or equivalent experience, in a STEM discipline such as mechanical, electrical, systems, data or mathematics

* Professional registration, or active progression towards registration, with a recognised engineering institution

Security Clearance
