Job Title: Treasury Specialist (Edgewing)
Location: Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems Air site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. There is a Hybrid Working Policy in place at Edgewing - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.
Salary: £54,808 DOE

Job Description:
You'll join the team at a critical time in the GCAP programme, the standing up of the Joint Venture. This is a rare opportunity to have a long-term impact on the success of the JV, by playing a crucial role in the initial stages of the life of the new organisation and laying the foundations for its success through carrying out the sound transactional financial services.
Core duties:
* Oversee and optimise daily treasury middle and back-office operations, ensuring timely execution of accounting payment requests, accurate bank reconciliations, and robust review of treasury documentation to maintain strong financial control
* Deliver insightful weekly and monthly treasury reporting, providing clear visibility on operating cash flow, net financial position, financial costs, and FX exposures to support strategic decision-making
* Execute routine FX transactions with a focus on accuracy, risk awareness, and alignment to company hedging strategies
* Continuously enhance treasury procedures, proactively identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and adapt to evolving business and organisational needs
* Partner with banking institutions to establish and optimise treasury services (e.g. guarantees, cash pooling), ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose and commercially effective
* Contribute to the implementation and optimisation of treasury systems, supporting process automation, data integrity, and improved reporting capabilities
Essential Skills:
* Proven experience and understanding of Treasury management across its various aspects (execution of the payment requests coming from accounting, reconciliation of bank accounts, review of treasury related documentation, etc.)
* Very good analytical skills (operating cash flow, net financial position, financial charges, FX derivative, etc.)
* Work experience with a Treasury related system including SAP)
