Purpose of the role
Deliver exceptional sales and business performance by acquiring, developing and maintaining highly proactive, long term client relationships. Protect Barclays reputation through sound risk decisions by managing client group within their risk profile and appropriate regulatory framework

Accountabilities
* Manage and grow client relationships and acquire new clients - identifying and managing solutions to meet a wide range of client needs.
* Establish a sound understanding of the strategy of the clients in their portfolio through regular proactive contact, responding to client / prospect queries and requests and identifying opportunities that will deliver long term commercial reward.
* Manage operational, reputational, financial crime and credit risk for the portfolio to avoid exposing Barclays to undue risk.
* Ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards Service/group relationships - referrals to group colleagues.

As a Private Banker within Barclays Private Bank, you will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with charities, not-for-profits, foundations, education institutions and endowments across the UK. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will be responsible for identifying clients' financial goals, challenges, and risk appetites, tailoring bespoke banking, lending, and investment strategies that deliver meaningful outcomes. You will support the management and growth of an existing book of clients, working closely with a well-established team while contributing to business development and strategic growth across the sector.

In this client-facing role, you will engage with a wide spectrum of stakeholders, assessing financial, operational, and legal risks while ensuring transparent documentation and consistent alignment with the bank's regulatory and ethical frameworks. Your understanding of sector-specific trends, regulatory shifts, and ESG considerations will shape tailored recommendations and investment solutions that reflect both fiduciary duty and long-term sustainability.

You will be responsible for proactively monitoring client satisfaction, revenue performance, and key success metrics, ensuring a high level of service delivery and continuously evolving the value proposition in line with client needs and the bank's broader strategic vision.

What You Will be Doing:
* Manage and grow a portfolio of charity and not-for profit clients, understanding their financial goals and risk appetite
* Act as a point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service and financial advice
* Conduct regular reviews of clients' investment and financial portfolios
* Deliver high quality bespoke advice, maximising value for our clients
* Identify and onboard new clients through networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships
* Develop and execute tailored strategies to attract and retain charity clients
* Attend client events and sector forums to build network
* Keep clients informed on market trends, economic updates, and investment opportunities

Essential Criteria:
* Demonstrable experience managing relationships with charities and not-for-profit organisations, with proven ability to identify and pursue new opportunities to build a client book.
* Understanding of the financial needs of charities, not-for-profits, foundations, endowments, with experience of building and maintaining long-term, strategic partnerships.
* Demonstrable track record of delivering tailored solutions across banking, lending, and investment products, with the ability to assess client portfolios and align offerings with strategic financial objectives.
* Strong knowledge of global economic and political conditions, current affairs and competitor activity and the impact of these on the charity sector.
* Previous experience in controlling and monitoring of risk within a client book.
* RDR Level 4 qualification (e.g. CISI, CFA or equivalent).

Desirable Criteria:
* An informed perspective on the UK charities and not-for-profits sector, including familiarity with regulatory developments, sector-specific news, ESG integration and sustainable investment strategies.

This role is based in London.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks
