Prime Video is a premium streaming service that offers customers a vast collection of TV shows and movies - all with the ease of finding what they love to watch in one place. We offer customers thousands of popular movies and TV shows from Originals and Exclusive content to exciting live sports events. We also offer our members the opportunity to subscribe to add-on channels which they can cancel at anytime and to rent or buy new release movies and TV box sets on the Prime Video Store. As part of our efforts to enhance the customer experience, the Central Operations team is seeking skilled, customer-focused, motivated, and creative individuals to join our team as Central Operations Specialists. We are looking for people who are motivated by about driving operational excellence through meticulous pre-launch checks, effective problem-solving, and continuous process optimization. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and reliability of content delivery to Prime Video customers.

This role aims to go beyond just daily operations, by diving deep into identified problems, exploring long-term and fundamental solutions, and collaborating with relevant departments to resolve issues, including Tech and Partner operations teams. We are seeking individuals with a timely and thorough investigative approach who consistently seek improvement.

Key job responsibilities
- Ensure content is launch-ready by identifying and resolving metadata, rights, availability, quality, and technical issues that may impact customer experience or release timelines.
- Conduct pre-launch validations using automation tools and operational expertise to ensure content accuracy and readiness.
- Manage high-priority launches and escalations, driving timely resolution and stakeholder alignment.
- Perform root cause analyses (RCAs) on operational issues and implement process improvements to reduce defects and increase efficiency.
- Exercise sound judgment when assessing content-related risks and resolving complex cases with no clear resolution path.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve launch blockers and improve operational outcomes.
- Maintain and improve SOPs, documentation, and workflows to support operational excellence and scalability.
- Support onboarding, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives while monitoring operational trends and risks.

A day in the life
Focus is on the rigorous day-to-day operations, including continuous process checks and improvement initiatives. Drive innovation in publishing capabilities by influencing and partnering with engineering and tech teams. Work effectively in a team environment and cross-functionally with Prime Video Catalog technology teams, engineers, Studio Productions, Analytics, Product, and Video Content Services teams.

Candidate Requirements:

- Experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting or problem solving
- Experience working cross-functionally and across regions
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
- Experience using multiple operational tools and systems
- Experience working in a KPI-driven operational environment
- Experience working with or evaluating AI systems
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies
- Experience working in a content publishing, streaming media, digital operations, or supply chain environment
- Familiarity with workflow management, ticketing, or case management systems
