Collins Aerospace in Wilson, NC is seeking a Product Quality Engineer to join our team for supporting the manufacturing of complex fire suppression systems. Will work as an individual contributor in a team to achieve objectives that have a significant impact on area of product responsibility. Will facilitate Quality Engineering processes and/or projects including nonconforming material control, root cause and corrective action, continuous improvement and change control. Uses experience and knowledge to control and influence compliance of production to exceed expectation of internal and external Customers while collaborating with cross functional team.
What You Will Do:
* Direct production floor support, as part of cross functional support staff team. Interacting with assembly and test operators to resolve daily concerns as needed.
* Primary delegate for disposition of nonconforming material as the Quality member of Material Review Board.
* Analyzes and conducts corrective actions for nonconformities and/or design problems for internally produced products & processes.
* Reviews process control documentation to ensure it maintains compliance with requirements, procedures, and contracts partially finished or finished products.
* Identifies and manages risk in product changes, primarily utilizing and driving PPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).
* Performs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for problems with internally produced products & processes.
* Implements product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by internal and external customers.
* Enables strong collaboration between functional quality organizations such as Supply Chain Quality, Design Quality, Customer Quality and other RTX site Quality.
* Participate and lead continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications You Must Have:
* Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
* Demonstrated competency in the application of the personal computer to complete assignments, including skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Project, etc.

Qualifications We Prefer:
* Aerospace Industry experience preferred
* Lean or Six sigma certification
* Manufacturing experience
* Experience with AS9100 Quality Management systems

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
