Role Overview

JR Automation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to contribute to the design, development, and testing of innovative custom factory automation and amusement park rides and attractions. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to apply fundamental engineering principles in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

How You'll Make an Impact
* Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CREO).
* Conduct basic engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs and predict performance.
* Support the development and execution of test plans for prototypes and finished products.
* Collect and analyze test data
* Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional project teams
* Participate in design reviews, contributing technical insights and problem-solving.
* Research and evaluate new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
* Document designs, processes, and test results in accordance with company standards.
* Troubleshoot mechanical issues and propose solutions under guidance.

What You'll Bring:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
* Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CREO) is required.
* Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, especially statics, dynamics and machine design
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Practical experience working on mechanical systems and a strong mechanical aptitude.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Prior internship or project experience in mechanical design or testing is a plus.
